The Kingdom of God is justice and joy

… and that’s what we want to share in our mission locally and internationally through the Council for World Mission, Christian Aid and other partnerships.

We want to share what’s at the heart of our faith because we believe it will make a world of difference to people in the whole of their lives – from the cradle to the grave and beyond!

We regularly run courses that introduce people to what is at the heart of the Christian faith and the difference it makes in our lives. In 2016 we are planning an introduction to the Bible, Making Good Sense of the Bible Together and a short course that brings us alongside the persecuted church.

The Congregational Federation

Highbury Congregational Church is part of the Congregational Federation, a fellowship bringing together independent free churches for mutual support and the advancement of the Christian faith.

Highbury’s Particular Mission Partnerships

We support CHIKS, Children’s Homes in Kerala State, in South West India, through our own Sue Cole.

We help to support Cecilia who is at school and lives with her grandmother in Ndola, Zambia as her father Moffat is in prison.

We have links with Hanta and the work she does with Akany Avoko in developing a centre for girls, Faravohitra, in Madagascar.

We have close links with the de la Salles Scout Group in Bethlehem and with Bethlehem Bible College, and the churches of Jerusalem and Bethlehem through Kairos Palestine and through Embrace the Middle East. We also support Middle East Concern and Open Doors and their work with persecuted.
